DRL use only 50% of power which cause flicker or on /off issue with HID system(this true for usa market not sure about Canada market)

A customer had told me that Day Time Running light in Canada use full 100% power which will work with HID system. Can anyone confirm this info?

See image below (also apply for slim HID ballast). It does not do any harm but may solve your issue. (this does not apply for low voltage system, DRL issues, and CAN-BUS issues)

#1 thing it is the Size of the ballast/transformer itself.
Slim ballast is a lot thinner than standard size HID Ballast. Another thing to keep in mind is that when using slim ballast is that the price is a bit higher if you want to have the same quality as the standard size. There are slim ballast out there that’s same as standard size ballast. Why is this? It is because they use cheaper raw material that goes into the ballast itself. My opinion, if you do not need slim ballast just use the standard size hid ballast. Save money and chance are it is more consistent if you order a reasonable quality product.
